Fabricators don't lose your installers, offer a complete range

ttnThe Oxford English dictionary defines "specialist" as, "one that produces something to the exclusion of all other", that's us! We only make sash windows, so when claims are made from so called specialists, first ask the question," Is it all they make?" We understand your need to make a profit. In a price sensitive market that's often difficult, and the temptation is either to buy in the cheapest product, or make everything yourself.

Trying to keep all your trade accounts happy is never easy, there's always a competitor sniffing around to prize your customers from you.

As a fabricator yourself you'll know the frustrations of manufacture. Balancing the numerous choices salesmen offer customers with the limited skill set of your shop floor employees, of course you'll be able to make sash windows, afterall they're just 12 bars welded into 3 squares, right... well not actually, to do the job properly its about offering choices, and that means many different techniques.

The cost of stocking different profiles, handles, hinges etc, the down time between machine set ups, spending 4 or 5 hours to make one sash window when you'd make 3, maybe 4 casements in the same time period.

You'll find we have invested in machinery for making nothing but sash windows. Two schirmers cutting centers, CNC machines capable of preparing cut pieces every minute/hour/day

And a host of end millers and machines all dedicated to making just one product, there's NO down time between machines, we'll take just 60 mins for an unglazed or 100 mins for a fully glazed, plant on bar window.

We understand its your reputation that's on the line, its your name that's at risk if we fail to provide a quality product or miss the delivery date, that's why we'll guarantee our deliveries, any thing we miss from the delivery we'll send overnight, and supply it FOC (or raise a credit).

That way we share your risk, we don't deserve to get paid if we fail to supply what you ordered.

Don't forget, we don't fit anything ourselves so its in our interests to help you get the work, that's why we'll help with samples if you need them, especially for your retail reps, trade brochures etc but also something called Twin Packs.

They're our way of helping communicate the choices you can offer to your retail customers. Just ask our sales office and we'll supply you with a duplicate quote, for you to submit to your retail customer. Installers tell us it doubles their conversion rates, because they feel more confident about selling sash windows, and their customer is impressed too!

And as for buying in the cheapest, again that's spelling disaster. Being held responsible by your trade installer (and his customer) for a product that you bought in, well you'd better be certain they've been around a few years otherwise it'll end up costing much more than the "cheaper" price quoted.

It's vital to offer your installers a full range, casements, doors, patios, conservatories the list is endless, otherwise you risk loosing them to a competitor. That's different from having to make everything. That often make fabricators uncompetitive, slowing down the windows they are good a making and risking call outs on a slow moving, complicated, expensive niche product.
