It's the little details that put the 'master' in Masterframe

DetailsIt’s the little details that make all the difference to a sash window. That’s why Masterframe Windows Ltd has designed special dual-role packaging for small items of window hardware such as the handle packs for their Bygone Collection PVC-U vertical sliders.

Every installer can relate to the frustrations of finishing a prestige installation, only to waste time and money having to make good or replace damaged window hardware. The installer looks bad and it doesn’t reflect well on the manufacturer either. That’s why Masterframe vacuum packs its handles and tilt latch knobs onto card. As well as protecting the fittings in transit, the reverse of the card features instructions and an ingenious fixing aid for the installer.

Ray Rabett, Masterframe’s Technical Manager, elaborates: “The card has two sets of holes punched in it and a central V-shaped slot. The slot and holes form a drilling template to help the installer attach the handle to the reinforcing at just the right place. All the installer has to do is decide on the lateral location of the handles. It was so easy for us to think up because we spend our lives thinking about vertical sliders, yet it will save installers so much time and effort. It’s what we’re here for.”
