Masterframe's master-classes help Banaglaze sell sashes

Tuesday, April 09th , 2013

As the economy takes a turn for the worse and the core casement replacement window market falls, many installers are struggling. Sales and marketing training can be an invaluable tool, helping window companies stay ahead. That’s why Masterframe Windows, specialist manufacturer of premium PVC-U sashes, offers its Bygone Preferred Installers regular seminars and selling ‘master classes’ at Cranfield. “Sash windows in particular is a very different market to casements,” explains Ian Leigh, owner of Banaglaze Window Systems, which has been a Masterframe Bygone Preferred Installer for four years. “You need to approach prospects differently and lead times can be longer.”

“What we learn at Masterframe’s seminars applies to all aspects of our work. We use the techniques taught to sell and market other products. The seminars are good morale boosters too - we can compare strategies with other installers who aren’t competition, because we sell in different post code areas. Masterframe is committed to its customers and helps all its BPIs to expand their businesses. I can honestly say that Masterframe’s sash window is unique - the white foiled woodgrain option looks superb.”

Banaglaze recently installed 50 Masterframe sashes in a new development of seven luxury flats - with a total value of £53,000. “We had to compete against two other window companies for the job,” says Ian. “We were told we won the contract because of our reputation for excellent installation and the high quality of the windows.”
