Sales and Operations Director Carol Slade says “In the past, the spraying of our windows in special colours was carried out by external suppliers and by bringing this process in-house we have far greater control over how the finished product will be presented to our customers in terms of quality and durability.”

We have chosen to use a paint mix which is more than a surface covering and with correct application, the paint bonds to the surface molecules of the PVC-U or GRP, rather than just sticking to the surface, allowing for long term adhesion.

The colour of all paint fades over time due to constant attack from UV light and environmental conditions but with the longevity of our windows in mind we are applying a two part, clear matt lacquer to the painted surface to protect the paint from UV and pollutants.  There is also an additional benefit because the two part lacquer is mixed with a greater percentage of hardener than the paint itself further enhancing its durability.”

Bygone offers a colour matching service e to all popular paint suppliers such as British Standard colours, Dulux and Farrow & Ball, allowing customers a full choice of colours to complement their décor.
